Here are some of the Special Events that are planned for the 2008 Fall Harvest Festival:

Square Dancing Hoe-Down Party - Saturday night, October 25th, 7pm - 9 pm, weather permitting.

Becoming more popular every year!  Features Square Dancing and Line Dancing with an experienced caller.  No experience needed, follow the callers lead and step the evening away.  Great fun for all ages.  So, don your best coveralls and put those hoes down for an evening of old fashioned farm fun!

Every Weekend -

FREE face painting for children every Saturday and Sunday 11am - 4pm.  A perennial favorite of children visiting the pumpkin patch.  If your group is interested in a fundraising project, contact us at 540-373-4478 or info@belvedereplantation.com

Loklinters Clydesdale Drawn Wagon rides ( $2.00 per person).  Experience REAL horsepower, the power your grandparents remember.  Available 12pm - 4pm, or until horses tire, on most days.  *Hours and price are subject to change*

Scarecrow Workshop - A fun activity the entire family will enjoy.  Make your own life-sized scarecrow to take home.  $20.00 each, includes materials and instruction.  Makes a great fall decoration too!

Teacher Appreciation Weekend - September 27th & 28th

Everyone is invited to sign the giant banner to be presented to the sailors aboard the USS Chancellorsville on Columbus Day.

Tractor Pull - October 11th & 12th

Pumpkin Cannon - Tenatively scheduled for Saturdays & Sundays in October. 

Greg Quann will be here shooting his pumpkin cannon.  On Saturdays, the demonstration hours will be 10am - 12 noon and 1pm - 3pm and on Sundays the demonstration hours will be 1pm - 4pm.  A lucky few will be chosen to fire the cannon.  *Check back with us for firm dates*

Pig Races at the Swine Speedway - During Harvest Fest dates - Fri 6:30pm and 8pm, Sat. 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm, 5:30pm and 7pm.  Sun 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm.
