Strawberry Salad
Use fresh or frozen strawberries
1 large pkg (6 oz) strawberry gelatin 1 quart fresh sliced strawberries
1 cup boiling water OR 2 packages frozen strawberries,
3 medium bananas, mashed thawed and drained
1 cup chopped pecans 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
1 pint sour cream (2 cups)
In medium bowl dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
Cool. Add bananas, pecans, strawberries and pineapple to gelatin and stir to

Pour half the mixture into a 9” x 12” pan; refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. Keep
Remaining gelatin at room temperature. Spread sour cream evenly over partially set mixture in pan. Pour on remaining gelatin mixture. Cover and refrigerate until set. Yield: 12 servings
